Team Read believes all kids deserve to be great readers and teens should have access to a meaningful, paid first job. We work to close education opportunity gaps through a unique cross-age, one-on-one tutoring program after school and during the summer. OneCourt is making live sports more accessible to fans with Blindness and Low Vision by creating the world’s first tactile sports broadcast. By translating live game data into trackable vibrations and audio description, OneCourt is creating a more accessible sporting experience so fans can feel the game with their fingertips. I work cross-functionally with design, hardware, software, and business development teams to create accessible sport experiences that meet the needs of community members with visual disabilities. Key responsibilities include:• Grow and manage inbound interest for community partnerships, sales, and sponsored activations with professional sports leagues. Manage stakeholder communication channels and shape storytelling that connects community activations with corporate sponsors.• Implement project management methodologies company-wide that balance traditional waterfall strategies that work well for business and marketing teams with agile frameworks that optimize product development for hardware and software teams.• Lead customer discovery and user testing to identify and prioritize product features. Collaborate with design team to build product specs and support hardware and software teams with feature prioritization and product backlog management.Recent projects include:• OneCourt’s first in-stadium pilot with the NBA Portland Trailblazers basketball team, supporting 18 fans to experience the world’s first tactile sports broadcast.• Flywheel Investment Conference where OneCourt received $50,000 in funding and won the Fan Favorite $5,000 prize.• Debut of the OneCourt baseball experience in collaboration with the MLB, Texas Rangers, T-Mobile, and 10 fans local to the Texas adapted sport community.• Attended the National Federation of the Blind’s annual convention to gather user feedback, test product market fit, and further build OneCourt’s network of community organizations.
