I am an energetic and determined person who always has a new goal or project in mind. I love to incorporate my strong organizational skills and creativity into my professional and day-to-day life in an abundance of ways, as I take pride in pro-actively planning anything that I can. This is evident in my joy of planning hikes, camping trips, vacations, family and friend’s events, new ideas and right down to my to-do lists and grocery lists.The pure satisfaction that I take in my organizational habits, is paralleled to my fast-thinking approach when dealing with high-stress situations, and the ability to strive in fast-paced environments; Qualities that I have gained through administrative positions in a demanding retail environment as well as being a team player in a busy hospitality establishment.Furthermore, my optimistic go-getter attitude and resilient personality has pushed me far out of my boundaries and allowed me to take leaps into the unknown, where I’ve come out with my head above the clouds. I say this in reference to my first time on a plane, where I had moved overseas with my family, while I was still in high school. This adventure was the first time I thought about pursuing a career outside of the small Alberta town that I grew up in, also pushing me to see more of the world. With this in mind, I stumbled upon Capilano University’s Bachelor of Tourism Management, which I am currently fulfilling. Taking this leap of faith is my first step towards my dream of becoming an established Event Planner.
