I am driven most by the desire to create lasting positive change. Since childhood, I have had a strong sense of duty and a call to action to do everything in my power to strengthen my community. I translated this to a keen interest and devotion to politics and public policy; learning everything I can about the systems around us and how they can be used to create the changes I believe will lead to a brighter future. A love for research, theory, debate, and writing have been the cornerstones of my pursuit of translating progressive ideals into tangible outcomes.Outside of work and politics, I have a deep love and connection to the arts. In my life I have worn the caps of singer, guitarist, writer, actor, painter, and sculptor. I believe that it is through the creative that we showcase and connect to the things that make us distinctly human.
