I was required to provide support and guidance to individuals appointed by CHP as Directors on LIFTCos, take the lead on 5/6 LIFTCo Boards, focussing on the LIFTCos with specific issues, or where Management Services Providers (MSPs) required particular or additional support. Key achievements include: ◼ Delivered value enhancement opportunities, including refinancing of first directly cross-collateralised LIFT portfolio, life cycle re-profiling, and assessment of eligible expenditure / capital allowances. ◼ Successful disposal of stake in non-core investment, including negotiating sale price.◼ Acquisition of stake in strategically significant data company, including negotiating acquisition valuation.◼ Led for CHP and various groups of LIFTCos on LIBOR transition, including liaising with variety of public and private sector co-shareholders, lenders and financial and legal advisors. Key achievements include: ◼ Supported CHP, as public sector counterparty, with understanding drivers for LIFT Investors and Boards alongside LIFT private sector partners and LIFTCo MSPs with public sector drivers to help smooth relationships between PPP entities and public sector counterparty, by increasing comprehension of issues, and by promoting better understanding of respective positions. ◼ Led embedding of ESG activity and approaches across LIFT portfolio, to ensure ESG considerations were part of “business as usual” operational culture, including potential to improve sustainability outcomes.◼ Renegotiated / renewed SPV management contracts at better terms, lower cost, higher liability, and wider service provision scope across >50% of LIFTCos and consolidated LIFTCo MSPs resulting in higher standard of management, and increased consistency of approach with better quality board papers.◼ Aided CHP as Investor and Public Sector Counterparty, engagement with lenders to improve information flows and understanding of issues, and to secure waivers of contractual obligations.◼ Identified concession extension and early termination options on behalf of LIFTCos.
