I coordinated and oversaw the implementation the housing choice voucher homeownership program. The purpose of the HCV Homeowership Program is to allow families that are assisted under the HCV program to use their voucher to buy a home and receive monthly assistance in meeting homeownership expenses. I supported moderate and low-income clients in overcoming barriers to housing and financial stability. My job duties included providing comprehensive individual pre-purchase counseling, foreclosure prevention/intervention counseling, financial capabilities coaching, homebuyer education, and group education services. I also cultivated relationships with bankers, realtors, builders, and other key community partners.

Monitor and managed the foreclosure process for residential accounts. My duties included ensuring that all aspects of the foreclosure meet federal, state, and local regulations. I prepared foreclosure documents and obtain title records and other records required for foreclosure processing. i took the steps necessary to ensure that the process meets all deadlines and communicate with vendors, attorneys, and authorities when needed. In some cases, my responsibilities included working with mortgage holders who are at risk of default to negotiate changes to the loan agreement that can help them avoid foreclosure.
