As a freshly graduated biochemist, I started working at Q-Biologicals (now part of Eurofins) where I developed my skills in protein purification. After about three years, I could join Confo Therapeutics in the Protein Science group, where I discovered a new challenge in working with GPCR membrane proteins. Being involved in construct design, cell culture and expression and the subsequent purification of the GPCR's, I was able to learn a lot more and develop my skills further.The next step in my professional career was the integration of NS/CryoEM in my workflow. It is incredibly rewarding to see the proteins you've worked so hard on in person!
