Seeing a vertical information niche in the market after Colorado legalized recreational cannabis for adults, performed a boot-strap launch of Cannabis Business Times (www.cannabisbusinesstimes.com) in April of 2015 with the goal of fast monetizing. The brand was aimed for the burgeoning dispensary, distribution, ownership and regulatory audience including both businesses and state, local and federal government. - wrote complete business plan- developed circulation partnerships and lists for newsletter- developed and managed website - created media kit, rate card, special events and publications- hiring and training of edit, sales, circulation staff- media sales- all P/L responsibilitiesThis was a self-funded venture and the brand was sold to GIE Media in 2015. Debuted the BTR Diamond Technology Reviews product-review program, which started with six applications in 2005 and had 60 submissions in 2011. Monetized this program to almost $125,000 in 2011.
