I have always loved instructing people on handling particular situations or life decisions. My experiences have helped me grow more than ever in the past few months. I've come out of my shell like a baby who has to leave the nest. I understood that the university experience was not what people had claimed it to be when they said it was the best part of your journey. Yes, it was for some people, but that can't be true for everyone. I had to make decisions, interact with strangers, and engage in conversations about subjects I preferred to avoid because it was my first year. These minor encounters helped me mature and became aware of how easily we take opportunities and possessions for granted. In the few weeks I have been in Ashesi, I have developed the ability to lead a group, work with others, listen to others' ideas, and even address a problem head-on. I'm still learning, but I'm confident that after four years in Ashesi, I'll emerge as a completely different person from the girl I was in July 2022. I have also done some volunteer services helping to teach public schools in Ghana programming and understanding IT.
