At BTS I focused on taking our technology from an integration focused exercise and moving it to a true product development process focused on creating value in everything from our mechanical design and form factor to creating a recognizable brand with our key products.

As CTO of Mav6, I focused on growing Mav6's technology and intellectual property portfolio (We were granted patents in UAV technology, advanced armor systems, and C4ISR methods) and building the System Engineering, Software Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering practices within the company.In my 3 years at Mav6 (formerly ARES Systems Group) I was an essential partner that helped grow the engineering team from its initial contracts up to nearly $70mm a year in contracts. I provided technical oversight into the proposal roadmap from a number of milestone programs for the company that helped push real capabilities to deployed operations around the globe.One of the joys of the position was the opportunity to mentor the up and coming stars within the product and engineering services practices at Mav6, Having been at TA at CMU and an IMPESSA instructor, I found this to be one of the more fulfilling roles that a leader can play in a company that both gives immense value to the team but also helps you as a leader continue to grow.
