Focal point for the counselors and management of the 18 Red Cross-Flanders reception centers for asylum seekers, with regard to questions about the asylum procedure and the right to reception. In addition, my duties included:• Communication and coordination with the asylum authorities and Fedasil.• Offering transparent advice regarding the right to reception and co-handling complex cases.• Organizing and participating in meetings with colleagues, partners and government agencies.

Street Child is a UK based non-profit organization, which focuses on creating educational opportunities for some of the most marginalized communities across West-Africa and South-Asia. • Working on the “Breaking the Bonds” project, which focuses on developing educational opportunities for Musahar communities, I was involved in:- Developing an Accelerated Learning Programme (ALP) for Musahar girls aged 15-18 from research to implementation.- Writing the nine-month long Mathematics, English and Nepali/Maithili curriculum, based on the National Curriculum.- Developing the student assessment and ongoing Monitoring&Evaluation. - Researching and implementing solutions to minimize project risks.- Building strong relations with local partners, ensuring all project developments are shared. • Start-up of Anti-Human Trafficking project, which included:- Conducting literature review.- Field trip to the Terai region of Nepal and the Indian border side for preliminary research; preparing and conducting interviews.- Developing Theory of Change. - Writing the concept note for UK Aid Direct Application.• Assisting with the Global One Project, which focuses on sensitizing Muslim Students about water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) practices through sensitization and training activities:- Analyzing data from the data-entry sheets. - Writing reports on the data. • Fundraising of € 1200 in Belgium in support of Street Child’s Right to Learn Appeal, with all donations being matched by the UK Government.
