    In my role as Personal Assistant to the Ambassador I manage the Ambassador’s program (including maintaining the electronic diary) and liaise with Dutch Government and private sector offices, other Embassies and a broad range of other contacts.One of my responsabilities is to organise functions and hospitality for the Ambassador and manage finances associated with Ambassadorial hospitality. I draft correspondence as required by Ambassador, including official communications regarding the Ambassador’s movements.I also assist in organising high-level visits. For example after the Malaysian Airlines MH17 disaster the Governor-General H E Sir Peter Cosgrove and the Minister for Foreign Affairs Ms Julie Bishop have visited The Netherlands to attend the ceremonies at Eindhoven Airport and support the families of the victims.Some other duties I perform are: manage Embassy protocol arrangements, assist with management of the Embassy’s electronic filing system, weekly dispatch of Diplomatic Mail and to provide translations and other administrative support as required.
