I am a passionate advocate for the well-being of babies, and for helping them to get the best start in life. I am a registered nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CEIM), and founder and CEO of My Pure Delivery Breastfeeding Clinic based in the Austin, TX area. In my ten years as a registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, I honed my skills in patient care and needs assessment, as well as in staff supervision and mentoring. More and more, I found myself being the one called to help mothers breastfeed, and found myself desiring more lactation specific training and formal education on this complex process. After seeing a baby’s life be saved by donor breast milk, I developed an immense appreciation for the importance and power of human milk. This is when I decided to become an IBCLC.I noticed that although families were still struggling in the outpatient world, there was little to no qualified lactation support beyond the initial days in the hospital. This is how My Pure Delivery Breastfeeding Clinic was born, and growing this business has been my main focus for the past six years. Throughout my career, I have developed strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, administrative, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills. My entrepreneurial streak combined with an intense passion for helping babies get a healthy start in life has fueled my successful business ventures.
