As the Executive Director of three healthcare nonprofits: University Medical Center Foundation of El Paso, El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation, y la Presidente de la Fundación de UMC en México, I offer a unique blend of compassionate leadership, strategic vision, and dedicated advocacy for health equity.Driven by a passion to make a tangible impact on people's lives, I oversee the three organization's vision and missions, operating and development efforts, and program development; forging collaborations and partnerships with other orgs, agencies, and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and expand the reach of the nonprofit's programs. In the last three years, we have seen significant growth in both development and programmatically, enabling us to provide support to comprehensive healthcare services, including preventive care, mental health support, and chronic disease management for two hospitals, many clinics, and across international borders. As a bicultural, binational, and bilingual executive I am passionate about improving the quality of life and health outcomes of our region. With a profound understanding of organizational strategy, leadership development, and program management I am particularly focused on data-driven approaches, strategic advancement and growth by seeking partnerships, resources, funding opportunities, and research projects. My belief in creating access and opportunities for all underscores my commitment as a grassroots educator and advocate. In previous roles I demonstrated my expertise in instruction and administration. As a cabinet-level director in a large urban school district in the Southwest Borderlands, I honed a diverse skill set that spanned academic realms, such as curriculum design and assessment, and operational arenas, including long-range facilities planning and had a part in the success of two historic bond referendums at a landlocked, 100- year old district totaling over $855 million. My academic pursuits have also been a cornerstone of my career. As a researcher and phenomenologist, I have focused on educational experiences for people of color. My expertise as a geospatial analyst has further enabled me to conceptualize and strategize.My role as a public speaker, published author, and business owner, combined with my academic credentials, including a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) have been integral to my professional journey.
