Data Analyst / DBA, consultant Assigned at AT&T, 225 West Randolf Street, Chicago, ILI supported AT&T Finance - Utilizing Teradata, SQL Server and Microsoft Access database technology with Microsoft Access and Excel VBA programming to define, develop and document standardized processes that automate regional, multi-regional and national, end of month revenue and production reporting. I also was responsible for pulling AD Hoc reports and providing report data to other AT&T internal teams. I designed and developed validation databases. These were Access database applications for teams submitting data to the reporting team to use to validate their data before submitting it. I designed and created a repository database for revenue reporting. I designed and implemented an Access database application that automated collection, validation, and storage of data from over 60 sources of revenue and production data into the repository database, This provides greatly enhanced consistency and availability of the data for reporting and analysis. It also reduced time required for end of month reporting.

Responsibilities:For a library district serving a population of 27,000, I was responsible for Network and System administration, managed: MS Server 2003, Active Directory, Sonicwall firewall, a 60 workstation LAN, Wireless LAN for public and staff, developed and maintained public and staff computer configurations. I was responsible for all conference room technology and for all hardware and software purchasing, including printers and printing supplies. I was responsible for all software licensing and compliance.Accomplishments:Completely upgraded the library computer and server environment, from a mixed win 98/win 2000 computer environment with win 2000 server Domain Controller, to a win XP computer environment and Win Server 2003 Domain Controller. After windows 7 was released, I upgraded public and staff computers to Win 7. I developed and maintained an Umbraco CMS Website, I initiated wireless internet capability for public and staff. I initiated on-line program registration. I initiated implementation of an automated public computer reservation system.Skills UsedThe position required effective communication skills and significant management and organizational skills.
