Being a working journalist since 1978, Bablu Rahman extend to social work additionally in the field of Peace, Human Rights, Children and Women issues. He joined in the government service at Social Science Research Council (SSRC), Ministry of Planning in 1981 and give up the job in 1983. Then fully engaged in professional journalism and served as staff reporter, sub editor, senior sub editor, news shift in charge, joint news editor, news editor in Daily Desh Bangla, Gonokontho, Inqilab, Channel I TV, Jai Jai Din, Bhorer Dak etc.Bablu Rahman attend World Peace Council (WPC) conference held in Budapest, Hungary in 1990 and International Peace Research Association (IPRA) conference held in Keyoto, Japan in 1992. He compiled Research Reports on `Raped Women & Rehabilitation Scenario' in 2005; and ` Mission Impossible to Recover the Default Loan being Socio-Pokitical Power Linkages' in 2013 under SSRC, Ministry of Planning.
