With over 15 years of experience , I manage all aspects of transportation relating to ocean import/ ocean export business from initiation to finality with company owned offices, partners and agents in Europe, Australia , Africa,South America, Canada and with heavy emphasis in Asia .I have previous job experience in air imports / air exports.I communicate professionally and effectively with individuals at all levels . I have strong interpersonal and communication skills that enable me to interpret and present industry regulations to the client in a clear and simple manner , both written and verbally. I proactively and quickly offer alternate options to resolve potential issues. I have excellent analytical and organizational skills that help me effectively prioritize and manage a heavy workload.Current: Responsible for Ocean Import/Ocean Export Dept. Work with Sales Team. Knowledge of import/export regulations. Coordinate full circle with overseas supplier- overseas agent - ocean carrier / or co-loader -CFS-customs broker - importer - and local delivery agent in order to ensure smooth process of shipmentNegotiate vendor rates (ocean carriers and trucking companies ) in order to maximize company profits. Working knowledge of Cargosphere and NAAA contracts to choose the best routing and rate combination. Coordinate and manage + 200 import containers and LCL business per year from multiple origins to various US arrival ports and destination cities- including coordination of deliveries. Ensure timely ISF submission to Customs by working with overseas agents , importers and CHB.Turnover documents to CHB and help resolve document issues . Quote clients using previously negotiated ocean carrier rates from Cargosphere / or NAAA contractsas well as negotiate more competitive rates directly with ocean carrier as needed. Book , coordinate loading of full containers and arrange LCL export shipments including documentation , and AES & FMC filing.
