White Stag Building

The Product Design Program in the University of Oregon's School of Architecture and Allied Arts provides a thorough grounding in the use, invention and production of consumer products. It integrates the theories and applied practices of the art, architecture and design disciplines. As adjunct professor I co-develop the curriculum and teach product design studio classes for the BFA degree program at the Portland campus.

Ziba is an internationally recognized design consultancy that helps companies create meaningful experiences that consumers love.As director I led industrial design teams at Ziba on a variety of strategy, innovation and tactical design programs ranging from medical devices to consumer electronics, apparel and footwear. I was responsible for the design intent of all industrial design products, and a mentor to the Ziba ID team. My role and responsibilities also included building, maintaining and managing a team of up to 15 designers and contractors.My diverse experience, coupled with the desire to immerse myself fully in the target consumers' world, helped me deliver innovative brand building solutions for clients such as Nike, P&G (Oral B, Crest, Dolce & Gabbana) Philips Respironics, Toshiba, Costco and Dell.

Worked on a broad variety of projects including; ethnographic research, product visioneering, leading multi disciplinary teams and developing in depth design and brand strategy. Further responsibilities included the development, mentoring and inspiration of the design team.

Seymourpowell is a major UK consultancy that combines innovative product design with cutting edge forecasting and user research. Seymourpowell taught me the craft of design, creating great products requires rigorous attention to detail and a deep understanding of the user. My project experience was broad including work with: Nokia, Mission Speakers, Lowe Alpine Outdoor Wear, Unilever (Various Brands: Axe, Dove, Birds Eye) and Durex Product and Packaging.
