The Romanian Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration (MRDPA) has requested the World Bank for assistance with the elaboration of integration strategies of poor and marginalised urban communities. This assignment includes: (1) proposing a methodology for defining different types of urban disadvantaged communities based on a selection of key indicator; (2) -a- analyse indicators related to these types of communities and -b- produce detailed maps that present the spatial distribution of these indicators and these types of communities; and (3) the elaboration of strategies for integrating these communities.
