Hi, I'm Badr Barco, a professional Arabic-English medical interpreter, educational interpreter , seasoned customer service expert, and successful e-commerce entrepreneur. I've made it my mission to bridge cultural and communication gaps, making services more accessible and enhancing experiences for diverse populations. In education, my journey began in Morocco, where I graduated from Ibn Zohr University with a degree in English Studies. My love for visual communication led me to pursue an Associate Degree in Graphic Design from City University of New York. Most recently, I completed a rigorous 100-Hour Core Medical Interpreter Training program at Penn State University in collaboration with the National Institute for Coordinated Healthcare. This combination of language, design, and healthcare training uniquely positions me to facilitate effective communication in healthcare settings.Early in my career, I had the pleasure of working at renowned retail stores like DSW Shoe Warehouse and Macy's Herald Square. My role involved offering top-tier customer service to non-English speaking customers, serving as an interpreter, and maintaining a positive shopping experience. My ability to understand the customer's perspective, resolve issues effectively, and build strong relationships contributed significantly to the stores' growth and success.Later, I transitioned into the role of a Tour Guide and Historic Interpreter for Central Park Tours, where I delivered engaging tours to non-English speaking tourists. My ability to connect with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds enriched these experiences and enhanced my passion for interpretation services. In 2018, I channeled my entrepreneurial spirit and started my own eBay retail business. In this role, I am responsible for all aspects of the business, from bookkeeping and shipping to sourcing salable items. My venture has been a success, consistently generating over $5000 in monthly sales and maintaining excellent client relationships.Throughout my varied professional experiences, I've remained focused on one goal - providing exceptional customer service and facilitating clear and effective communication. As a medical interpreter, I am ready to bring this focus to healthcare, ensuring all patients have the understanding and support they need.
