Dr. B.P.Kathel did his M.Tech (Geology) in 1966 from Saugor University followed by Ph.D in Instrument Design from Roorkee IIT in 1978.In 1972 Minister of Defence Production invited him to give his ideas on warfare. In 1986 he was awarded US patent for his invention. Soon more countries like Canada, West Germany, France, Switzerland, Britain, Italy, Japan and USSR awarded him patents for this and other inventions. A year after, his patents on Photo inclinometer and Sub-surface Pressure gauge were licensed by his employer Oil & Natural Gas Corp, Ltd, to a Canadian firm for world wide marketing.In 1987, Indian Government honoured him as the Best Inventor.Over last ten years, Dr. Kathel has been guest faculty for Creative Management at IIT, IIM, ASCI, IMD, ONGC, HPCL, BPCL, Godrej, etc. and role models in many programs. He has also delivered talks on innovations and management in many companies abroad. In 1995, he was deputed to represent ONGC at Petroleum India International for five years. As Director (HRD & IT), he was responsible for Petroleum India International growth by way of marketing Management and Technical programs overseas. For a decade (2000-2010) he was Chairman; TOTAL MANAGEMENT propagating good management practices in India and abroad.Dr. Kathel is listed as man of achievement & Distinction in Who’s Who Asia, Who’s Who Asia/ America and Biography International. Dr. Kathel has visited 29 countries as professional and tourist.Currently, Dr. Kathel is heading SERVEINDIA, which is helping youths to become entrepreneurs with nearly zero budget business ideas and delivers lectures at University of Petroleum & Energy Studies on Design, Creativity and Management..
