Alexandra Baer is a classically trained soprano with a vast repertoire including opera, oratorio, lied, chanson, art songs, songs from musicals, folk songs and more contemporary music. She is equally at home on the stage and concert platform as she is when singing in smaller more intimate surroundings. Recent performances include the honour of topping the bill at The Falkirk Festival of Remembrance and singing by special invitation at the opening of the Walled Gardens at Dollar Park. Alexandra particularly loves using her singing to help benefit others and regularly sings at Care Homes, Hospices and Hospitals. She has also performed at notable international venues - highlights include performances at Sacré Coeur and Chartres Cathedral, France. Having performed over 100 concerts for the benefit of those suffering with Neurological Conditions, Alexandra continually witnesses the therapeutic benefit of singing. She's seen people suffering with advanced dementia able to recognise their family again and those who are unable to communicate anymore begin to sing the words and melody to a song. Alexandra feels very privileged to have the opportunity to use her singing in such a powerful manner.Alexandra is also an experienced Singing Teacher of singers of all ages, all levels of experience and styles of music. Her interest in the therapeutic benefit of singing also extends into her teaching practice where she is sensitive to peoples' differing reasons for having singing lessons and has been a great help to those seeking tuition due to a variety of reasons, including bullying, releasing past traumas and breathing difficulties. She specializes in building confidence, self-belief and excels in encouraging a love of music.
