In my first role as a Director I've had the opportunity to learn business skills to go along with my role as a Senior Developer.

Lead Developer looking after core systems and databases. As our systems grew massively over the years as our product offering matured, so did my skills base.I was the Senior Developer in charge of payment systems development across 8-10 payment gateways over the years. This included working closely with PayPal, Westpac, National Australia Bank and many others. Performance and data accuracy is a MUST in this area.Over my 15 years with SportingPulse I learnt many skills working from database performance tuning to working closely with large sport clients in Australia and overseas.Whilst working as the Lead Developer on many products, I was also able to get out and about and help with Project Management for many clients such as World Vision Australia as I lead the development of the 40-Hour Famine system for 6 years.

Learning systems development from the senior developers.Though only a year, this really set me up for my future as a systems developer on large databases.
