Sales Engineer, supporting Sales of new machinery.

Working within the Service Department for worldwide aftersales activities,The activities are very similar to the ones in my previous position, only applied on installed base machinery between 0-25 years old. In addition, my work and responsibility covers;- Planning of 3 FTE Mechanical Engineers and 1 FTE Electrical Engineer.- Technical assessment for line modifications for new product formats and additional modules.- Representative for my team to other departments like Customer Service, Purchase, Manufacturing and Engineering.- Improvement and describing working processes for Aftersales Engineering in QMS (Quality Management System).- Direct customer contact, mostly online, to explain modifications and discuss considerations and doubts from the customer (mechanical and overall perspective).- Team member for judging of requested technical change requests from internal organization.- Team member which handles obsolete items.- Preventive maintenance advices for existing machines.- Tracing part numbers for customers, which are no spare part.

In this role I am mainly supporting the Sales Engineering and Machinery Sales department as a fulltime job, due to my knowledge and affinity of new machinery. This role consists of the following activities:- Machine layouts for customers (standard/special).- Implementing sleeving machinery in customers factory layout, optimizing footprint.- Technical/functional risk assessment for machine configurations and reduction of risks.- Definition of mechanical workload for orderteams (standard machines, sustaining, specials)- Transferring pre-order decisions and facts to orderteams.- Establish sizing of product related change-over parts of sleeve machinery.- Providing best solutions within standard modules.- Checking and judging customer specifications, in relation to our machines. Defining non-compliance and optional compliance.- Writing (internal) Engineering specifications, knowledge of machine boundaries.- Involved in development of new (standard) modules.- Installed base and recommended spare parts knowledge.- Judging/explaining on CE-machine safety.

I've started working at Fuji Seal in 2008 via a recruitment agency. From 2009 I'm emproyed directly at Fuji Seal and involved in orders of standard machines for customers, as Mechanical Engineer. Shortly after, I've been involved with a major new development within Fuji Seal machines (in cooperation with R&D dept.) and have implemented this machine in our Engineering standard, improving modules and sharing specifications with my direct colleagues, acting as mechanical product owner. In this period I got back working on standard and special machine orders.
