I have acquired wide knowledge of modern history and political situation in former Soviet states and Ukraine, knowledge of the region; knowledge of European Eastern Neighbourhood policies, especially current EU policy toward Ukraine.I’ve visited Ukraine several times in 2022 gathering information on civil-military topics to further improve comprehensive national defence in Latvia and the emergency preparedness of the state and general public. With high level political and administrative contacts in Ukraine, I can provide understanding of challenges of transmission state from post-Soviet to European, democratic, transparent society and state management. Previously have held positions as head of the Partnership of Latvian Construction Contractors, head of the office of Riga City council and Ministry of Justice, and has been an advisor to the Minister for Finance of Latvia. I have been acknowledged for the fight against the shadow economy and tax evasion in the construction sector.I am glad to share my experience in governmental reform management in Latvia, specifically in fields of defence, justice, finance, state revenue services, procurement procedures, promotion of social dialogue, conclusion of general agreements etc.
