Leads and oversees field operations for investigating and resolving violations of the County Zoning Ordinance, Virginia Maintenance Code, Building Code, and other quality of life issues effecting residents and businesses in Fairfax.

Advising Permit Arlington team to inform various operational changes and approaches for improving customer experience across the permitting agencies. Offering consultation to leadership, management and front-line staff in order to ensure that permit customer services are high quality, consistent, accessible, and equitable.

Operations division lead and financial officer for the Department of Economic Development in Arlington County. Responsible for development and execution of $12m operating budget. Administration of a $200k revenue portfolio for Cultural Affairs programming. Manages staff who support the organizational business systems and IT infrastructure, events management, human resources administration, and financial operations. Advises leadership to align administration toward fulfilling the agency's mission and goals of retaining, growing and attracting businesses and ensuring the vitality of the local and regional economy.

Performs oversight and accountability functions for facilitating the prudent management of approximately $65m in operations budget for various County agencies, including departments of Technology Services, Parks & Recreation, County Attorney, and Economic Development. Ongoing involvement in County initiatives on process improvement and performance management. Ensures integration of strategic program goals and budget planning - aligning resources with needs across a portfolio of public agencies.

Central office budget analysis and accountability for operating budgets among various departments within the City of Alexandria. Facilitated budget development sessions with executive management. Performed departmental revenue and expenditure projections analysis in fiduciary oversight role. Responsible for project prioritization and planning, revenue projections, inflation assumptions and revenue-expenditure balancing - of $125 million reserved revenue transportation fund. Performed on-going analysis and budget management - resource alignment, budget transfers, allocations, pricing and purchasing, project management, and tracking departmental fiscal year activities - for City's Transportation & Environmental Services (Public Works) budget ($32 million and 10-year capital budget of over $500 million).

Served as project staff to the development of updates to the City's Master Plan, including the North Potomac Yard Small Area Plan and Waterfront Plan. Agency liaison to EIS for Potomac Yard Metrorail Station. Conducted intensive community outreach and facilitation to support various planning initiatives. Employed technical expertise related to application of City Code and Zoning Ordinance regulation. Provided operational and historical research; graphics, mapping and materials production; website and social media content; and drafted narrative content as part of final publication for plans and policy documents.

Performed various urban planning support functions including records management and project tracking. Provided policy and historical research, data collection, and correspondence drafting and editing as requested by senior staff. Performed departmental web updates and digital communication. Assisted in project management and provided staff support for planning initiatives, including the planning for a 70 acre redevelopment in Potomac Yard, Alexandria. Served as administrative liaison to developer stakeholders (contractors, architects, engineers, attorneys). Provided public customer service for City permitting and regulatory processes managed by the Planning and Zoning Department. Periodically assisted with community meetings and community involvement initiatives.
