Expungement Clinic Research Assistant
CurrentLegal Research Assistant and Rule 13 Certified Student in the UMKC Expungement Clinic. Expungement is Missouri’s way of “clearing a criminal conviction.” After a granted expungement, the court orders that a conviction be hidden from public view. The Clinic consists of lawyers, coders, and law students who work to expand expungement law across Missouri. Record clearing can lead to better employment, housing, and an overall reduction in the collateral consequences of a criminal record.
