At Mercedes Benz Vans, I work on to their maintenance contractors team, Leadec LLC. When hired, I tested in to their highest level technician position, being a Tech 2. My responsibilities include ensuring continuous production of their fully automated line, finding solutions to problems, making improvements to the line, ensuring proper functionality of KUKA Robotics and Siemens programming, seeing where improvements are possible and making them, then logging details of every issue and adjustment made, using SAP. This is a top level technician role, in which I'm expected to understand all aspects of a veryadvanced, fully functional automated process where mechanical and electrical adjustments and fixesare needed regularly.

This includes reading and understanding PLC logic, wiring diagrams, pneumatic systems, hydraulics, conveyors, robotic controls, vision systems, a deep understanding of how to use computers and much more. I work with Staubli Robotics, Allen Bradley PLCs, Indradrive VFDs+ and vision systems like Neurocheck, Infotech, Cognex, and Sensopart and understand how they all work together to complete a fully automated manufacturing process. This job demands a need for in depth understanding of mechatronics and automated systems controls, from the basics to the deepest inner workings of these systems.

I started with Armada when the construction first started, (working with Food Tech) doing all I could tospeed the process of construction and eventually helped plan and lead the installation of automatedequipment/ Robotics to package powdered supplements. I took a lead role in installing and wiringVFDs and PLCs for these machines and conveyors, programmed them to run efficiently, and addedredundancies to ensure continuous production in the event that failures occurred. I was expected tomanage the operators team's production, coordinating what each individual was responsible for and showing them how to do it. This job included installation, troubleshooting, assembly and disassembly, programming, updating, and doing preventative maintenance on conveyors, automated machines,pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, VFDs, PLCs and other various things found in an automatedmanufacturing setting. Some Brands- Siemens, Allen Bradley, ABB, Omron, Danfoss, Rexroth and othervarious foreign brands for different types of equipment.

Worked alongside electrical engineers to improve automated systems for food processing. This included installing and programming PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers, ) and writing code in Logix500 andLogix5000, installing and programming Danfoss and Allen Bradley VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives, ) installing conduit from ½" to 4" for circuits up to 200 Amps, building electrical cabinets and reading wiring diagrams, troubleshooting electrical problems and resolving them without assistance. I also got certified to operate forklifts of all types and man lifts of all types and used them. Many other various skills were used.
