Hello, I am Bailey Floden, a junior at Eckerd College. I primarily work during the summers as a camp counselor and work as a delivery driver during the school season while balancing my love for DJing. My love for children and education is what drew me to the camp industry and the experiences and knowledge I have gained are what have kept me. I have had the pleasure of working with Bailey since their freshman year of high school when they pushed themself out of their comfort zone to apply for a leadership position and was selected based on merit and the drive necessary to find success. Since then, Bailey has jumped at every opportunity that has come their way, not only providing the aforementioned leadership in the community, but also teaching the next generation and fostering that same personal drive.When there’s a problem, Bailey is the first to jump in with solutions, trying to find a way to navigate or mitigate the problem but when that isn’t possible, they take the time to learn from the challenges we face. There have been times when Bailey’s life outside of the leadership roles or the classroom has been tempestuous. And Bailey has shown their bravery by asking for help. We have had long conversations about what it means to be proud of what they have accomplished.
