The primary function of the Assistant Store Manageris to oversee store programs through effectivedelegation andmanagement of work, employees, time, andresources. This includes securing appropriate staffcoverage and assisting in therecruitment and selection processes. This alsoincludes overseeing the opening and closingprocedures in the store,overseeing handling cash deposits and outflow for amultimillion dollar business, and ensuring storecompliance with allsafety procedures. The ASM is also responsible forincreasing sales and maximizing profit marginsthrough forecasting, salesreports, store promotions, and sales programs. TheASM is expected to drive and inspire a service culturethroughencouraging and modeling superior customer serviceand the prompt resolution of all customer serviceissues. The ASM isalso required to train and develop employees asneeded, and identify and enforce procedures onemployee performanceissues. The ASM manages inventory by ensuringshelves are stocked and displayed consistent withLowe's policy,maintaining proper inventory levels, processingmerchandise through computer systems, overseeingshrink and loss, andchecking that outgoing deliveries have the correctmerchandise. This includes operating internalsoftware systems and storeequipment as needed. Lastly, the ASM is responsiblefor employees following proper protocol for deliveringall other dutiesas assigned.Administrative Assistant
