Senior Manager - Accreditation And Financial Examination
CurrentAs the Sr. Manager of Accreditation and Financial Examinations, I oversee the NAIC's Accreditation Program and the Examination Unit of the Financial Regulatory Services Division. In overseeing the NAIC’s accreditation program I perform a variety of duties that support the program’s mission of establishing and maintaining standards to promote sound insurance company financial solvency regulation. This includes working with state insurance departments to help ensure understanding and compliance with the program, including analysis, examination and legal elements; conducting pre‐accreditation reviews to assist states in preparing for a full accreditation review; training on accreditation topics; and developing ongoing enhancements to the accreditation program. In overseeing the financial examination unit I provide guidance and support to state insurance regulators in monitoring the solvency of domestic insurers through the risk-focused examination process; oversee the examination peer review program; develop guidance for inclusion in the Financial Condition Examiners Handbook; develop and provide training on examination sound practices; and assist state insurance regulators in enhancing coordination of holding company examinations.In addition, I provide primary support for several NAIC Working Groups, as well as a Task Force and Committee.
