Bailey Jackson is a multidisciplinary theatre artist currently based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. She is the recipient of the 2021 University Medal of Academic Excellence in Theatre, awarded upon completion of her BFA from Grenfell Campus, Memorial University. She has worked as an actor in productions across the island, including: Stephenville Theater Festival's 2023 provincial tour of "To The Girls" by Meghan Greeley, Rising Tide's new musical "Maiden Voyage" by Meghan Greeley and Mallory Clarke, Quit Your Day Job's one-day production of "An Empty Room" by Cole Hayley, and Güd Productions sketch show "Güd 'Nuff". Bailey has worked as a freelance director since 2019, directing new works such as: "Sisters" by Rachel van Vliet and "Today I..." by Lonni Patey. She is a playwright and published writer, currently pursuing her Masters in creative writing. In addition to creative work, Bailey works as a co-creator and facilitator of Act IV Shakespeare programs. Act IV Shakespeare aims to educate junior and senior high students about Shakespeare through interactive workshops. She is currently employed at PerSIStence Theatre Company as the Working With Respect Project Coordinator. Working With Respect is a workshop that aims to promote safe and respectful work environments across the Newfoundland and Labrador arts sector. In her free time, Bailey serves as secretary on the board of directors for St. John's Shorts Inc. who annually produce the St. John's Short Play Festival, and the Board of Directors for NL Comedy Initiative Inc. who produced the inaugural NL Sketch Fest and are currently preparing the 2nd annual Newfoundland and Labrador Sketch Comedy Festival. She is a member of the artist collective, Güd Productions, who work to highlight emerging comedic talent through theatre, sketch comedy, improv, and other initiatives.

She is currently working on a full length entitled "funhouse", with financial support from ArtsNL and dramaturgical support from Allison Moira Kelly. -
