I am a graduate of Carroll University, where I spent my time studying education and music, serving the campus as the Student Ministry Assistant, and a leader in our campus's chapter of InterVarsity. During college, I worked off campus as a lifeguard, a swimming lessons instructor, a respite care giver/therapist. I've really enjoyed Carroll and appreciate their emphasis on cultural education, as it is a growing skill set that new employees will need as they enter the workforce. Professionally, I am passionate about learning and having fun doing it. I have special interest in special education, Universal Design for Learning, and learning outside the classroom. I recently accepted a position as a Special Education Teacher at Genesee Lake School in Oconomowoc Wisconsin, where I will work to provide the highest quality education possible to kids diagnosed with both cognitive and behavioral disabilities.
