Created, enhanced and maintained 3-tier SSL-secured Internet website & database using Visual Studio ASP.NET, SQL Server and Crystal Reports. This system is used by our staff, for both of the above contractors, in the field and administrative, statewide to provide chemical dependency treatment to patient / offenders in prison, work release and community facilities for Washington State Dept. of Corrections. It's named, "Lexington", and performs a long list of tasks to include data entry, tracking, custom reports, fee for service billing, import / export via XML, staff / facility tracking, and so on. I also managed the MIS team. I did all of the coding and the SQL Server DBA duties while headquarters in Massachusetts maintained the hardware, network, administration and back-ups remotely, aside from my own parallel backups.

As a software engineer as well as a SQL Server DBA, I was put on several projects, either alone or in a team. One of these was to create a new Computer Aided Dispatch system for King County Metro Transit in Seattle, which was used by their staff to control the radio systems used to communicate with their operators driving buses throughout King County. This was made using Visual Basic with a custom COM+ object in C++, to interact with the vast radio equipment, hitting an Informix database. We also made a second project that visually / graphically tracked all buses on maps in real-time.

I was a software engineer, out of two, the second being the President of the company, who maintained DOS-based physician billing systems called PAS-3. I also managed customer support to include 1 - 3 support staff at any given time. Furthermore I created many electronic claims systems for states throughout the nation, rather than on paper. Mainly these used CBASIC, which was a complied BASIC and comma-delimited text "database", but I also used C++ and Visual Basic for other projects. I also wrote our Client Information System for tracking customers, support calls, problem reports, billing etc.
