Graduated from CSU with a Bachelor's in Psychology with a concentration in Addictions Counseling. Experience working for the Competency Services Team at the Larimer County Corrections Office in which I helped those both in-custody and in the community find resources such as housing, mental health care and other necessities in order to overcome barriers to competency as determined by the court examiner. In addition, I kept detailed reports on the behaviors, emotional states and rates of med compliance on our in-custody clients which were then presented to the Competency Services Court Judge. I'm currently employed as a Behavioral Coach for at-risk youth and teens at TurningPoint Center for Youth and Family Development where I use skills such as active listening, motivational interviewing and rapport building in order to teach my clients skills (distress tolerance, emotional regulation, interpersonal skills) to encourage prosocial behaviors and minimize negative ones.
