• Conduct or manage environmental reviews and impact analyses, and prepare environmental documentation required by local, state and federal environmental regulations (e.g., SEPA, NEPA, ESA, NHPA) in support of WTD.
• Recommend appropriate mitigation measures to address the potential environmental impacts of WTD projects.
• Ensure that projects comply with County and Federal cultural resources laws and requirements.
• Facilitate solutions to environmental planning-related concerns that arise during the design and implementation of capital projects.
• Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with members of other work groups within the section, WTD capital project team members, and external stakeholders.
• Manage the work of environmental consultants supporting WTD projects and programs (e.g., prepare scopes of work, schedules and budgets).

Primarily supporting the Industrial Waste Program in the Environmental & Community Services Section of WTD. Some of my duties include processing permits and other discharge authorizations to King County customers and supporting Industrial Waste Compliance Investigators.

• Researching existing Sustainability and Ecological Restoration Assessments
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental laws, specifically water quality standards
• Reviewing Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans for the Environmental Planners and attending site inspections with the EP’s
• Field visits to active construction sites to assess environmental compliance
• Member of the WTD Sustainability team, helping execute goals stated in Sustainability reports.
