My third and much more in-depth experience with city government arts departments. Responsibilities included matting and hanging art, general office tasks, distributing promotional material, aiding with large sculpture installations, compiling information and schedules, organizing files and materials. Specific projects included the 2017 SC Palmetto Hands Fine Craft Exhibition, National Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition, African American Fiber Art Exhibition, the North Charleston Arts Fest, matting and hanging a small exhibition of Ronald Ramsey's drawings, and an exhibition of Jasmine Alleger's paintings.

Gained valuable experience in a professional gallery setting for a year by assisting in the installation of exhibitions, creating social media marketing content, writing blog articles, doing general office work, participating in the set up and breakdown of various types of events, and learning about the general responsibilities of operating a nonprofit.Involved in exhibitions of Ray Johnson, Richard C., Bob Ray, John McWilliams, Erwin Redl, and Fahamu Pecou.Procured technical skills such as proper care of gallery walls, the general spacing and measurement guidelines to hanging a show, several methods of hanging different types of work, and how to mat and frame art. Also, I ran the Halsey Institute's Instagram (@halseyinstutute) for about 9 months during my time there. I learned how to professionally promote a business using modern media and collaborated with staff to make their social media presence more cohesive across all fronts.

Involved in the installation and placement of works in exhibitions, created social media promotions, provided customer service, and acted as a mediator between artists and the gallery manager.

Served as house manager for a variety of festival events including choral, organ, piano, heritage, dance, and various outdoor performances. Also acted as a docent in the City Gallery, aided with office work, worked the Charleston Farmers Market Information Booth, and helped with box office sales, merchandise, promotional distribution, and managing volunteers.
