I am a senior at Norwich University studying cyber security with a concentration in Forensics and vulnerability management. As a graduate of Norwich’s Computer Security and Information Assurance (CSIA) program, your services will be in high demand by private industry, government, law enforcement, the military, health services, and academia. Students will be well prepared for the kind of job that never gets stale and protects our country and private interests. The forensics concentration prepares graduates for practical application of current forensics theory, ethics, techniques, skills, and tools for all levels of digital-incident investigation relevant to solving policy violations and crimes. Students learn and apply foundational concepts, terminology, and techniques ranging from the extraction and analysis of digital evidence, its sources and communication, to process system and program design.Hard work and determination are key aspects in defining who I am. I discovered this during my high school and college basketball careers when there were many times I had to push through adversity in order to play the game that I love. From this experience, I realized that the only limit to my success is myself. I carry this ideology with me and I will for the rest of my life. Prioritized long term goals of mine are to develop a career as a computer forensics expert post graduation. I am confident that my skill set, my competitive edge, attention to detail, and passion for cyber security will largely contribute to me achieving these career goals. I value a well balanced work environment, effective leadership, and creating meaningful relationships. These values are vital in the career that I am striving for. Through my experience with adversity, I discovered a core strength that drives me to conquer any obstacle life might throw my way. It also gave me the confidence that I can do amazing things when I put my mind to something. I believe that by transitioning that mentality to my professional career, the sky is the limit.
