Whilst in this position I led group sessions with service users to explore the underlying causes of their substance abuse and to help them develop strategies to ensure the sustainable success of their rehabilitation.I was proactive in promoting the service to potential clients by planning an open-day with various activities for individuals and families to visit the centre, meet the team, and learn about the services offered. This in turn led to an uptake in our services. I took responsibility for capturing feedback from service users and disseminated this with colleagues to ensure the effectiveness and attractiveness of our services. This role gave me insight to various psychological techniques that can be used to achieve behavioural change which I have since applied to my work as a business psychologist.
