As a process engineer I: -Design and reline Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)-Create and review equipment specifications-Write and edit scope of work documents for projects-Communicate with vendors for equipment needs-Technical integrator across business and technical functions

In this role, I validated all production equipment in the chemical plant. I worked with line operators, engineers, and packagers to make sure all the validations are accurate. I also interacted with chemical line operators in weekly toolbox talks to promote quality, safety, and productivity in the plant environment.

During this internship, I completed Isotopic Thorium and Depleted Uranium separation by total dissolution by fusion (Claude Sill method), assembled and reviewed Data Packages, verified daily top loading and analytical balances and support equipment, performed alpha and gamma spectroscopy analysis for radiological soil samples collected at St. Louis sites, and prepared soil samples for alpha and gamma spectroscopy analysis.

In this role, I performed water tests to optimize chemical levels for swimming pools and spas, sold pool supplies to customers based on their test results, advised customers on how to safely add chemicals to their pool and spa, cooperated with other departments in the store to troubleshoot problems with pool systems, and trained new employees.
