My primary duties as a clinical laboratory intern are related to accessioning, specimen management, problem resolution, and specimen storage with a high degree of proficiency. Specifically, I receive incoming shipments and examine samples to document them correctly, properly store samples according to time sensitivity, aid in routine lab cleaning, and maintain quality control. A few skills necessary to be successful in this position include attention to detail, the ability to work with people at all levels in the organization, and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
