I am Publisher of the Bloomsbury Wildlife imprint, which includes award-winning nature-writing narratives and bestselling trade colour-integrated nature titles, including licensed publishing with The RSPB and The Wildlife Trusts, part of the Science and Nature team within Bloomsbury's Specialist Interest Division.

I commission colour non-fiction books and mono non-fiction narratives for Bloomsbury's Special Interest division. I also oversee Bloomsbury Wildlife's third-party licensee relationships with The RSPB and The Wildlife Trusts. I have 25 years of experience of managing commercial non-fiction titles through their production to a successful release to the trade, including TV tie-in properties, and I manage an extensive and very successful list of licensed products. I commission on a variety of non-fiction subjects including nature, wildlife, the environment, gardening, food production, foraging and green living. I have experience in line management and enjoy working closely with colleagues. As well as supporting editorial colleagues on the Bloomsbury Wildlife team, I participate in Bloomsbury's mentoring programme, offering advice, support and mentorship to colleagues across the company. I am one of Bloomsbury's 15 trained Mental Health First Aiders and an active participant in several of our DEI networks, including our Mental Health Network, our Accessibility Network and our Parents, Carers and Guardians Network.

I commissioned several of our bestselling titles, including RSPB-licensed titles with 100+k lifetime sales, as well as colour-integrated co-editions published across multiple territories in numerous languages.

As Senior Editor I helped expand Bloomsbury's Natural History list into new markets. I had sole responsibility for project managing all of the RSPB-licensed adult titles we produced and commissioned four new RSPB titles a year to help grow our license relationship creating a solid and reliable backlist. As well as the RSPB titles I commissioned and managed, I project managed many colour-integrated, non-specialist, family reference titles, doing my own picture research, commissioning and briefing new artworks and graphics, liaising with co-edition publishers on translations and Americanised editions, sourcing and booking translators, and briefing and working closely with freelance editors and designers.

As Commissioning Assistant I worked closely with the Lifestyle and Specialist Factual Publishers to identify new titles for publication, assess their financial viability, and work with TV producers and authors to help develop content. In this role, I developed strong relationships with contributors and monitored titles from contract through to publication. I liaised with the editorial, design and production departments to see projects through their production to a successful release. I project-managed numerous colour-integrated cookery, popular history and natural history TV tie-ins and co-edition publications.

As Editorial Assistant to the Editorial Director and the Senior Commissioner of BBC Books' non-fiction co-editions, I liaised with many high profile authors and agents, copy-editing and proofreading page proofs and covers, writing copy, conducting research for new proposals, as well as maintaining internal databases and liaising with colleagues on site and in New York and Sydney offices to ensure a smooth supply of editorial information and materials. I also project-edited cookery, history, science and natural history titles.
