This position let me teach an Information Technology in the Hospitality and Tourism Industries class. Each class had around forty students and I taught concepts relating to the cost/benefit analysis of technologies, revenue management technologies and strategies, restaurant technology analytics, customer relationship management, and social media marketing, among others. Working as a TA for UNT has given me a variety of experiences. I worked as the assistant dining room instructor for the Restaurant Operations I class, instructing students in how to manage and operate a fine dining restaurant. Additionally, I also worked in the back of house as an assistant kitchen instructor for the Restaurant Operations II class, teaching students how to manage a kitchen and operate various aspects of a commercial kitchen safely and efficiently. I also had the pleasure of working with senior faculty on a variety of different research topics for both conferences and journals, as well as helping to redesign and update the curriculum for several of the hospitality classes.
