I have the ability to work collaboratively, supporting the efforts of team members, provide a safe environment while promoting quality patient care, and over an extensive period of time, I have had the opportunity to hone communication and organizational skills needed to be successful.Relevance of clinical experience:My University afforded it’s students the opportunity to attend a non-traditional clinical schedule comprised of an uninterrupted period of time post didactic of approximately one month, three times per week, twelve hours per day shifts. In this respect, we were able to participate in the continuity of care aspect of nursing, and be a part of the nursing process first hand. My preceptorship on a Medical/Surgical floor allowed me to continue to create a foundation in nursing knowledge and skills, which will provide a more than sturdy foundation when moving to higher echelons of care. In addition, I have considerable hands on experience in multiple clinical areas because of my time spent in the military.
