As a Human Resources Intern, I mainly focus on supporting the company’s retail team across the US and Canada. Some of my duties include helping Store Managers and Employees, aiding in Onboarding completion, sourcing candidates, creating employee verification letters, investigating job abandonments, helping with event coordination, filing, and assisting with other HR projects.

As lead of the women’s department, I helped oversee the section by completing large scale movements of merchandise, guiding a team of over 20 individuals toward the overall store goals, and completing projects both individually and with a team. Along with this, I was a hub of knowledge regarding sizing, store policies, customer service, and merchandise location. I was frequently placed around the store as sales floor support in all departments, as well as managed the fitting rooms, completed back of house duties, fulfilled online orders, performed in inventory counts, and worked the cash-wrap. Through being a cashier, I have efficiently completed thousands of transactions with customers. I have signed over 100 people up for credit cards and over 500 for the rewards program. I have learned how to effectively communicate with all types of people. Any issues regarding technology or customers were handled courteously and professionally. I have also trained over 10 people in register duties and overall standards.
