About Bailey Waukey

Heyo, welcome to my LinkedIn profile! 👋I support Indigenous Relations teams to create reconciliation action plans and youth reconciliation strategies. I started as a hip-hop dance teacher, went to school to become a youth restorative justice worker, and now I work in the youth public policy sector. My expertise is in youth reconciliation policy, interpersonal communication, and strategy development. My strength is facilitating the process for your team to create strategies efficiently. My job is to take the burden of collaboration off your teams and bring you through the strategy development process. I was introduced to the “magic” of working with young people when I became a dance teacher at 15 years old, which set me on a path of pursuing a career in Social Service Work with young people. As a Social Service Worker, it was my job to be an expert in interpersonal communication and work with young people coming through the justice system. From there I worked my way into a full-time youth policy analyst position where I work with provincial government and non-profit housing organizations to create Indigenous youth responses. It’s my role to work with you to design a response that creates positive social outcomes using the expertise and resources you already have.😊 Take a look at these testimonials from a few of my clients!: “The work that Bailey Waukey and Frayed Feathers have done with A Way Home Kamloops and the BC Coalition to End Youth Homelessness has been highly impactful. Their sensitive approach to working with youth and their deep understanding of the context of the youth’s histories makes them a natural choice for the work we do. We feel fortunate to have had their assistance in facilitating multiple processes with our teams and we look forward to working with them on many more important projects to come!”‍Tangie Genshorek,Executive Director of A Way Home KamloopsStrategy Development Participants: “In the past, working collaboratively and incorporating others’ ideas often limited project progress. Bailey seamlessly navigated this and helped us realize our potential and kept us on track”“Loved your calm presence; you made everyone comfortable.”“Excellent organization skills and presentation. Wonderful”“Very impressive facilitation and organization.”“Very neuro-friendly.”Thank you for making it this far, and I look forward to hearing from you! 😊
