Developed OO C++ and Orbix applications & client libraries using Fusion design methodology.Worked in a rapid prototype software group using C, Sybase, and client/server technology on SGI and Cray machines to produce a platform based system with components and client libraries reused in various applications and across multiple networked hosts. Design lead for generic storage management server providing management of disk and tape based storage. Authored Storage Management portion of the API Guide. Implemented hierarchical storage management (HSM) server to provide location transparent access to files anywhere in HSM domain across all hosts and tape repositories. Traveled to government defense sites for installation & support. HSM was reused in six different government programs.
