As an Aircraft Hydraulic Mechanic in the Navy I worked in both the Organizational & Intermediate Levels of Maintenance. Responsible for disassembling, finding problems, correcting & reassembling all hydraulic & pneumatic components on the various Naval Aircraft to include but not limited to the FA-18, F-14, A-7, P-3 aircraft. Was deployed on the USS Constellation CV-64 from 1982 - 1986 in which we were the first squadron to deploy with the then new FA-18 Hornet. During that deployment we achieved the Battle Excellence Award.At Goodman Mfg. I started out as an assembler & worked my way into run test inspector of the HVAC Units. From there I worked my way into a position as a Quality Control Technician. I worked directly with Supplier Quality & the various vendors testing vendor HVAC components to insure they met our company specifications. I also worked with the vendors & our customers on warranty issues.I then became a Quality Assurance Auditor & an ISO Lead Auditor. I preform audits on the various HVAC units that we build along with audits on the various fabrication departments within the plant to insure our customers are getting the best HVAC units we can build. I also conduct ISO 14001 & ISO 9000 Audits within the plant.I am currently a QA Lab Technician for Great Lakes Cheese Co.Some of my duties include but are limited to calibrating gas analyzers & temp gages, line audits, test water samples, test both raw & finished goods, test air samples, collect, package & set up shipments for customer sample requests among other tasks as assigned.
