Before transitioning to communications executive and entrepreneur, I enjoyed a highly-visible, 10-year career in television news, most recently serving as evening anchor on Capital News 9 (now Spectrum News News), Charter's Albany-based 24-hour news channel. This helped me establish a broad network of media, political and community contacts and has provided me with access to key decision makers and news personalities.Today, I combine those contacts with a mastery of public relations techniques to provide incomparable client results that consistently exceed expectations. I develop and lead media training programs for high level CEOs and executives, using my skills honed as a reporter to prepare clients for live events and aggressive media questioning. Additionally, I help businesses to proactively prepare for a potential crisis through crisis management. In founding Baker Public Relations, with offices in Albany, N.Y. and Pittsburgh, Pa., I saw an opportunity to bring my various skills and interests under one roof, better allowing clients to benefit from my experience, contacts and know-how.
