Development of a conservation and restoration project (known as 'Pahang Tenggara') comprising some 97,000 ha of peat swamp forests and 13,000 ha of state land within the wider 230,000 ha Southeast Pahang peatland landscape. The project is designed to generate carbon credits over a period of 30 years, registered with Verra’s Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and certified under Verra’s Climate, Community, and Biodiversity (CCB) Standards.

My primary objectives at RSPO were to direct, administer and coordinate the internal operational activities of RSPO in accordance with policies, goals and objectives established by the CEO and the Board of Governors.RSPO is a not-for-profit that unites stakeholders from the 7 sectors of the palm oil industry: oil palm producers, processors or traders, consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, banks/investors, and environmental and social non-governmental organisations (NGOs), to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil.RSPO has developed a set of environmental and social criteria which companies must comply with in order to produce Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO). When they are properly applied, these criteria can help to minimise the negative impact of palm oil cultivation on the environment and communities in palm oil-producing regions. RSPO has more than 4,000 members worldwide who represent all links along the palm oil supply chain. They have committed to produce, source and/or use sustainable palm oil certified by the RSPO.I was responsible to lead the development and execution of long-term strategies, and for making top-level management decisions. In addition, I worked with and executed policies, goals and objectives established by the RSPO Board of Governors.

Appointed by the RSPO Board of Governors to assume the role of the Chief Executive Officer during a time of transition and as the result of the sudden departure of the previous CEO. Called upon to "steady the ship" in a period of turmoil, aggravated by the COVID-19 global pandemic.

IChemE is an internationally renowned qualifying and professional body within the chemical engineering sector. As Director for Southeast Asia, I led the institution in providing strategic leadership and energetic development of major opportunities within the region.My primary objectives at IChemE were as follows:• Lead, grow and develop IChemE’s work in Malaysia, Singapore and other countries in Asia• Enhance IChemE’s standing and profile within the region, in particular among the process industries and relevant parties such as Governments, regulators and higher education• Maintain and further enhance IChemE’s position and reputation as an authoritative and essential representative and qualifying body for the chemical, biochemical and process engineering profession• Ensure that IChemE engages with relevant issues of public policy and public interest• Deliver substantial growth across all classes of IChemE membership• Develop and expand a strong range of technical meetings, events, training courses and other activities and services for IChemE members, companies and others

I was a Senior Consultant in an advisory firm specialising in the energy sector. Based in Kuala Lumpur and working on assignments in the Asia Pacific across the entire downstream oil value chain: ports, pipelines, refining, storage and distribution, terminals and depots, and fuels wholesaling and retailing.Most assignments were in the areas of strategic advisory, M&A advisory and due diligence support, project finance due diligence, project feasibility studies and technology evaluations.

I was responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of Malaysia's national plan on HIV/AIDS. The Malaysian AIDS Council is the umbrella body for over 40 NGOs nationwide that implements intervention programs ranging from harm reduction for marginalized communities to the care and support for those made vulnerable by the disease.

Responsible for PFC Energy’s overall operations in Asia, including being the Director of Asian Downstream Group to implement the following corporate objectives:• Foster a work environment that attracts and inspires excellence in people and instills internal and external customer service brilliance• Cultivate existing client relationships and develop new links to Asian and Middle Eastern oil & gas companies, namely NOCs and private entities with interests in Asia• Write and present consulting project proposals to potential clients in Asia and the Middle East• Manage and execute downstream consulting projects and subscription services based in the Asia-Pacific region, in collaboration with internal expertise based in Europe and North America • Act as the management focal point for the company in the Asia Pacific region

Responsible for PFC Energy’s Downstream Monitoring Service – Asia and the China Advisory Service. My primary role was to manage a team of oil & gas analysts and industry experts on Asia, and be the center of PFC Energy’s strategic thinking for the region, and to provide a platform for attracting talent and supporting our consulting work in the region. My clients include all the international oil majors, several national oil companies and some large consulting firms.

Analyst in the International Business Unit, and my principal role was to identify opportunities for new investments in the Middle East and North Africa for PETRONAS. This also involved monitoring political and financial risks pertaining to assets and human resource, and providing global support to international offices via data and information exchange.
