Balrama graduated in 2001 after pursuing a professional course in Computing.He started his career in the logistics industry with Schenker Logistics Malaysia Sdn Bhd in 2003 with the opportunity to lead the spare parts operations for Mercedes Benz Malaysia.In 2006, he took up the role as project manager for Geodis Solutions Asia. He was responsible to implement new projects throughout Asia such as Jakarta, Shanghai, Bangkok and Johor Bahru. Majority of the contracts implemented were for the consumer retail industry.In 2007, based in Penang, he took up the challenge to project manage contract logistics for companies such as Intel, Motorola, Plexus, Entegris and many more.He was nominated as the country 5S coordinator and had the pleasure to train and setup the 5S framework in Malaysia with guidelines from corporate office in Essen.Balrama then had a change in role and returned to operations management in Kuala Lumpur where he oversaw operations in various industries such as automotive, consumer goods, retail, consumer electronics, telecommunications, health care, etc.In his capacity as Senior Logistics Manager, he was managing operations across 5 distribution centres which consist of more than 70 customers with a total warehousing space of 240,000 sq ft.In October 2015, Balrama decided to pursue his career with Goodyear Malaysia Berhad in the capacity of Head of Distribution and Logistics. This move provided him the opportunity to expand his experience in total supply chain management with a leading manufacturing automotive company.For this role, he was responsible for the distribution of finished goods, logistics management (import/export) of finished goods & raw materials and order allocation/fulfillment to customers.In June 2017, a new challenge was undertaken to merge and manage the total operations for Latexx Partners, a part of the Semperit Group.Jan 2019, he joined DSC SG to be part of the management team, focusing on the Life Science Healthcare sector with full sector responsibility.
